Reality Synchronization

Am I here for what’s here?

This is not a measure of how good you feel. It locates where attention is meeting memory, possibility, expectation, and the Reality already in progress.

Reality is already broadcasting.

Reality Synchronization Guide · Mark I

Where is your attention right now?

Locator, not identity. No score. No failure state. No permanent position.

ATTENTION LOCATIONReality: connected · Traveler: tuning

More than one may be true. Choose the signal taking up the most room.

Possibilities, not prizes. Honest sorrow can be fully synchronized.

The instrument does not decide what is true.

It does not diagnose, verify a belief, predict a future, or replace immediate human help. Distinguish what you observed, what you felt, what you inferred, and what remains unknown. If someone may be in danger, leave the instrument and get real-world help now.

You don’t synchronize Reality with yourself.

You synchronize yourself with Reality.

Reality does not need to match your expectation before you can become present.Reality: always broadcasting. Traveler: occasionally on another frequency.

The permanent field guide

Seven places attention may be.

These are weather reports, not ranks. The arc is not a staircase. Attention can move several times in a minute.

R

Resisting

This shouldn’t be happening.

Reality and expectation are fighting. You do not have to like what is happening to recognize that it is happening.

Name one thing that is already true.
R

Replaying

But what happened was…

Attention is experiencing memory. The past may contain grief, responsibility, or unfinished business, but it is not physically happening now.

Notice what belongs to memory and what remains here.
F

Forecasting

What if…?

Attention is experiencing possibility. Planning can help; prediction masquerading as present fact cannot provide coordinates.

Separate preparation from prediction.
N

Noticing

This is what is actually here.

Observation, sensation, emotion, interpretation, and the unknown become easier to tell apart.

Gather evidence before arguing the case.
A

Accepting

Okay. This is where we’re starting.

Not approval. Not resignation. Coordinates. Clear seeing may still mean saying no, leaving, grieving, or acting quickly.

Begin from where you actually are.
P

Participating

What belongs to me now?

Discernment becomes a response: act, ask, wait, rest, leave, get help, or choose nothing yet.

Take the next honest step—not every step.
O

Open

What else is here?

Nothing immediately needs to be controlled or concluded. Attention has room again. This is availability, not enlightenment.

Let curiosity look around without demanding an answer.
Noticing you’re out of sync is itself an act of synchronization.

An optional companion · The Impossible Map v2.0

A map can be useful.
And incomplete.

Reality Sync asks where your attention is. This map asks what kind of knowing you are using. Both can help you return to what is here.

The Impossible Map of Reality: a traveler and dog beneath a luminous spiral of experience, observation, patterns, testing, inference, belief, imagination, and the unknown. Gary reminds us this is one possible, incomplete map.

Use it in an ordinary moment

What happened?
What am I making it mean?

Someone has not replied to a message.

Observation
“I haven’t received a reply.”
Experience
“I feel disappointed and uneasy.”
Inference
“Maybe they’re upset with me.”
Unknown
“I don’t yet know why.”
Next step
“I can wait, or ask kindly when it makes sense.”

The feeling deserves care. The explanation deserves a check.

Bring that distinction to the gauge ↑

This is a philosophical and creative reflection map, not a scientific model, diagnostic tool, or ladder of spiritual achievement. Its layers are lenses, not ranks.

Read the map without zooming

A practical reading companion, adapted from the poster. Start anywhere; no layer makes someone more awake or more worthy.

What we experience

Here · now · this moment

What am I feeling or sensing? An experience is real as an experience; its explanation may still be uncertain.

What we observe

Senses · data · experience

What could I describe without guessing why it happened?

Patterns we recognize

Cycles · order · relationship

What seems to repeat? Could coincidence or selective attention explain it?

What we can test

Observation · experiment · evidence

What safe check could support, challenge, or change my explanation?

What we infer

Reasoning · models · theories

What conclusion am I drawing, and which assumptions does it depend on?

What we believe

Worldviews · meaning · faith

What am I taking as true? What would help me reconsider it?

What we imagine

Possibilities · story · creativity

What might be possible, without treating that possibility as an established fact?

What we don’t know

Mystery · the next horizon

What can remain an honest question for now?

The Unsaid

The poster’s poetic name for what our descriptions may not capture. It invites humility; it does not establish a hidden realm or settle what reality ultimately is.

Many ways of knowing

Science asks what we can test. Philosophy examines reasoning and assumptions. Art and story explore meaning. Contemplative or mystical language can describe personal experience. Lived experience asks what happens when we participate. These approaches ask different questions; they are not interchangeable evidence for factual claims.

Seven foundational tones

Flame — becoming. Stone — form. Shadow — depth. Crystal — pattern. Life — growth. Light — recognition. Air — change. These are Academy storytelling metaphors, not physical ingredients of reality.

The invitation

You don’t need all the answers to live a meaningful life. Explore, question, stay curious, be kind, and choose one response within your care.

One reality. Many lenses. Room to keep learning.

“Incomplete. Approved for use.” — Gary

Common signal interference

Notice where you went. Come see what’s here.

These are not sins, defects, or diagnoses. They are familiar ways attention leaves its current coordinates.

Shame

Replaying identity through the past.

Resentment

Repeatedly prosecuting what already happened.

Worry

Experiencing possibilities as present facts.

Control

Requiring Reality to match the internal script.

Comparison

Leaving your coordinates to evaluate someone else’s.

Urgency

Dragging several future moments into this one.

— Gary

What becomes available?

More Reality can arrive when more attention arrives with you.

Not spiritual points. Not guaranteed feelings. Simply more of the field available to meet.

Discernment

What actually matters?

Curiosity

What don’t I know?

Wonder

What haven’t I noticed?

Gratitude

What is already here?

Grace

What am I receiving that I didn’t manufacture?

Choice

What response belongs to me?

Connection

Who is actually here with me?

You are always in Reality.

The question is how much of your attention came with you.

Check the gauge. Notice the signal. Synchronize without judgment. Then participate.
When you stop solving realities that don’t exist, you may finally notice the one that does.
