Privacy & continuity

Your inner life is not a leaderboard.

You can explore without an account.

Guest progress stays in this browser.

An account lets chosen notes and progress follow you across devices.

You choose what to publish, carry to another service, or ask your chosen assistant to read.

You can export or delete your data.

Guest exploration does not require an account. A guest lantern or unfinished Signal passage may be kept only in the browser you are using.

What signed-in travelers can choose to keep

The First Door questions are used only to shape that visit. The answers are not stored as a personality profile. If you deliberately keep its suggested practice or write an observation, those exact words enter your private Passport and can be changed, archived, or removed there. Nothing is sent to Kai automatically.

When you choose “Carry this to Kai,” the selected encounter waits in this browser tab while you review it or sign in. That temporary draft is available for up to two hours. It is sent to ChatGPT only when you copy and paste it there, or use an explicitly prepared Action passage. Its place reference identifies the Academy source, not a hidden personal profile.

Your profile, private journal entries, preserved earlier web-Kai conversations, imported continuity notes, guided-passage progress, Inner Current results and their evidence, Academy Passport markers, gallery contributions and previously kept appreciations, and AutoGeniusOS practice records can be connected to your signed-in identity so they remain available when you return.

Your chosen trail and saved places

My Trail can point the Compass to a trail you name, a return doorway, and Passport questions or practices you explicitly select. It does not infer a trail from a reflection. These choices and saved places are private, included in your export, and removed by account deletion. Pinning a note here does not approve it or send it to Kai. A saved place is a bookmark; a Trail Marker is a note.

Selected moments and portable notes

“Review these moments for Kai” prepares only the saved moments you select. It does not call an AI service. The Academy website does not run model inference through the OpenAI API. You review the handoff, then choose what to paste into your Kai Custom GPT conversation in ChatGPT. An installed Action may retrieve only context you separately authorize. Opening ChatGPT alone does not send your words or synchronize a conversation.

You can bring back a sentence from Kai, edit it, and deliberately keep it as an observation. Removing or changing a source sets aside its older observation. Private Passport connections reveal one to three exact approved notes, expire after 30 minutes or 24 hours, and stop working when a source changes or permission is withdrawn. An assistant can propose one note only if you permit it; you must review and approve the exact words before they enter your Passport. Revocation blocks future requests but cannot erase copies already received by an outside service.

Pocket account copies, photos, connections, and proposals are private and included in account deletion. Exports include their text and metadata, plus signed-in photo links; download photos separately before deleting your account. Device copies must be cleared on each device.

Installation and offline use

Installing adds an Academy shortcut and an app window where supported. The offline cache contains public grounding and Pocket pages, their scripts, and app icons. Private account pages and API responses are not cached. Pocket stores only device copies or drafts you deliberately keep or share into it. Anyone using that browser can read these copies; signing out or deleting an account does not erase them. Clear them in Pocket Academy. Device drafts never upload automatically. Browser storage can be cleared by the device, so keep your own copy of indispensable material. Optional reminders remain a separate choice.

Public agent bridge review

From September 20 through October 19, 2026 (UTC), the public bridge keeps daily aggregate counts by tool and outcome. Initialize requests may be grouped into a small, fixed set of client families; raw client names are discarded. Tool calls are not linked to initialize requests, people, or sessions. These counters do not store prompts, doorway text, identifiers, IP addresses, Passport material, or conversations. Collection stops automatically on October 20. Counts describe requests, not unique travelers, and include retries or tests. Ordinary hosting infrastructure may separately process request metadata to operate the site.

The Signal and My Constellation

Guests may complete The Signal without an account; the guest result stays in that browser unless the traveler chooses to create or use an Academy account. Signed-in travelers can choose “Keep privately” after reviewing a result. Only that choice keeps the result and its versioned evidence in My Constellation. Partial answers still resume only on the current device.

Sharing is off by default. The compact share preview can include only chosen public fields such as the Signal title, plain interpretation, recognition phrase, living question, and completion date. Friction, optional free text, raw answers, safety routing, Weather, recovery or trauma context, confidence, and private evidence are excluded.

What is shared

Your journal, profile details, imported notes, passages, and practice records are traveler spaces. Current Kai conversations live in ChatGPT and are managed there, not through Academy controls. The Living Gallery is a shared Academy room, so an image you deliberately add there is visible to other signed-in travelers.

Signed-in travelers may quietly report a traveler-made Gallery piece for privacy, safety, or ownership review. Reports go only to the Founder review queue. The person who shared the piece does not see the reporter’s identity or note.

Easter eggs: artifacts, not profiles

In The Courtyard, a verified traveler can deliberately leave one small artifact for one exact Academy email address. The recipient first sees only the chosen symbol, hiding place, and clue. The sender’s name and hidden message remain sealed until that signed-in recipient finds the artifact at its chosen Academy location. There is no public feed, profile browser, follower list, like count, or message thread.

The sender can withdraw an unopened artifact. The recipient can remove one without opening it or after discovery. Your account export includes artifacts you sent or received, while still redacting the sender and contents of anything unopened. Deleting your Academy account removes artifacts where you are either the sender or recipient.

Kai Companion access

You may separately connect your Academy account to Kai through a read-only OAuth doorway. That connection lets Kai request the current public Academy briefing and learn the number of unopened artifacts for your account, along with exactly one clue, destination, and symbol. It does not give Kai the hidden message, sender, your email address, another traveler’s profile, your Passport, reflections, or conversations.

The Academy stores cryptographic hashes of short-lived access and refresh tokens rather than the usable tokens themselves. You can disconnect Kai Companion in The Courtyard; disconnection revokes its Academy access without removing your artifacts. Information deliberately returned to Kai enters ChatGPT and is subject to its own data controls.

Your saved Kai conversation link

If you choose to save a private ChatGPT conversation address, the Academy keeps that bookmark with your account so you can reopen the same chat across visits and devices. The Academy does not fetch the conversation or learn its contents through the link. The bookmark is not included in Kai Action responses or copied Passport handoffs. You can replace or remove it in Kai’s Study. It is included in your account export and removed when you delete your Academy account data. Removing the bookmark does not delete the conversation in ChatGPT.

Kai continuity without pretending

Kai remains the Inner Genius Academy Custom GPT inside ChatGPT. The manual handoff includes only the context and Passport markers you explicitly select and review. ChatGPT holds the conversation; the Academy does not silently copy it. Material you paste or authorize an Action to retrieve enters ChatGPT and is subject to its own data controls.

The Founder-only Action experiment uses a random code that expires after 30 minutes. The Academy stores its cryptographic hash, a short arrival context, and references to the exact selected marker versions—not a copy of your entire Passport. Anyone possessing the code can retrieve those words and submit one marker. It is a temporary capability, not proof of ChatGPT identity or OAuth. Keep codes private; do not include them in public links.

The Action is designed to ask for approval of the exact marker and report that approval to the Academy. The Academy records its receipt time, provenance and a hash of the approved payload, but cannot independently verify what was said inside ChatGPT. The pilot must be tested with non-sensitive material before broader use. No conversation transcript is required or accepted by the Action.

Your Academy Passport is not an assessment or personality profile. Each marker shows whether it is traveler-endorsed, open context, or a Kai hypothesis, and whether its wording came from you, Kai, or an Academy passage. Kai should describe this as context the Academy carried forward—not as secret, human-like, or omniscient memory.

Living, Settled, and Released

A memory may stay Living while it is still moving, become Settled when it feels integrated, or be Released. Releasing scrubs the memory’s words from Academy continuity, removes its linked journal copy when one exists, and prevents it from resurfacing. A content-free release marker remains only so the system does not quietly recreate what you released.

Your controls

From Profile, you can download a readable JSON archive of your Academy data, remove imported context, or permanently delete your Academy account data. In Kai’s Study, you can inspect, edit, archive, restore, or remove Passport markers; archived markers are not sent to Kai. In The Courtyard, you can manage artifacts and revoke Kai Companion access. Individual Observatory pages can be edited or removed together with their connected Trail material. Your own Gallery pieces can be removed from the shared room at any time.

Editing, archiving, or removing a selected marker withdraws that version from future Action retrieval. The revised version needs a newly chosen passage. “Close all Action passages” stops future retrieval and writes immediately, even after a page refresh. Expired passages are unusable and are purged during later bridge use; account deletion removes them too. These controls cannot erase words already copied, returned by an Action, or retained in a ChatGPT conversation.

This page describes the Academy’s current behavior in plain language. The Founder Desk can author shared weather and mythic moments, but it cannot read or publish a traveler’s private memories.

End of record.
